History
1979
Capital Solutions (formerly Capital Copiers) was founded by its owner and Managing Director, Tom Flockhart operating from offices in Montrose Terrace, Edinburgh. The principle product range at that time was stand-alone, analogue photocopiers, electric typewriters and a range of miscellaneous office equipment products.
1981
By 1981, the team had outgrown the Montrose Terrace facility and moved into premises in Broughton Market, Edinburgh.
1984
A further branch was opened in Galashiels.
1988
In 1988, the Edinburgh team moved in to new offices on McDonald Road, Edinburgh, which remains the Company's Head Office today.
1989
With the business continuing to expand and a need to further develop the business in the West of Scotland - Aspley House in Glasgow was opened.
1993
The Company achieves the Quality Accreditation - BS EN ISO 9001:2000.
1998
Capital/Ricoh partnership commences
2002
Capital Copiers change name to CAPITAL SOLUTIONS to reflect move into digital & IT solutions.
2005
Edinburgh Head Office - receives Environmental Accreditation - BS EN ISO 14001:2000
2006
January '06 - the Glasgow team move into newly purchased, state of the art premises at Centurion Park, Glasgow.
2006
March '06, Glasgow & Galashiels branches - receive environmental accreditation BS EN ISO 14001:2000
2006
June '06 - Capital purchase the Scottish Copier Base from Danka UK
2006
November '06 - Capital move into premises in Aberdeen.
2008
Aberdeen branch receives BS EN ISO 14001 and 9001 accreditations.
