Public Sector

“Capital was awarded the contract with GHA via Mini Competition under the Public Sector Framework Agreement.  We have a Managed Print Service with Capital which gives us much more control over our printer fleet.  As part of this fully managed solution we’re using Safecom and @Remote.  These software solutions give us the ability to set controls around our printing and remote monitoring means that Capital is informed of any device problems often before we are aware of them.  We are now seeing substantial reductions in our print expenditure and benefitting from a good level of service from the entire Capital team” Glasgow Housing Association

Capital is an Approved Supplier to the Scottish Public & Voluntary Sectors under the Scottish Procurement Framework Agreement – PS-08-003 This means that you can rent or buy your multifunctional devices, copiers and printers at Government Contract Prices.  This Framework Agreement has been established for the Scottish Public Sector to take the hassle out of acquiring office equipment, significantly reduce costs and ensure that Approved Suppliers provide the best possible advice on the most suitable products and solutions.

The Framework was launched in June 2009 following a number of strategic objectives laid down by the Scottish Government to reform the way that the Scottish Public Sector procures office equipment and services. Changes to this process ensure that tax payers’ money is spent as wisely as possible on the highest quality of goods and services. The Framework also guarantees a move towards a smarter and greener Scotland through increased efficiencies and by using suppliers with a proven record of environmental credentials. Capital were delighted to be appointed to the Framework as the only truly independent Scottish based supplier.

As an Approved Supplier, we can provide copiers, multifunctional devices, printers, scanners, associated software and support services to all Scottish Public Sector departments including Local Authorities, Central Government, Health Authorities, Higher Education, Fire and Rescue, Police Authorities and Voluntary/Charitable Organisations. Competitive prices are agreed under the Framework and by introducing print management software, organisations will achieve a reduction in the amount they spend on copying/printing.

We have produced a Buyers Guide to help you with all elements of the buying process under the Framework Agreement.  This includes information on how to acquire equipment and services via Direct Buy, Mini Competition or Tender.  You can download your copy by clicking on the Download PDF button above.  You can also visit the Scottish Government website for more details on the Framework: click here.
