Office Equipment specialist Capital Document Solutions is backing an Edinburgh youngster’s dream of becoming a top basketball star.

The business, which has its headquarters on the city’s McDonald Road, is supporting Kyle Jimenez,  represented Scotland’s under-16 side at the European Championships in August.

The 16-year old, who attends Portobello High School, captains his school team and plays for The City of Edinburgh Kings at under-18 level these days.  he also turns out for the Kings Senior Mens Team.

Last season saw the under-18 side crowned Division Two champions, with Kyle playing an important role for the team.

Kyle, who plays as a shooting guard, was first called up by the Scottish national side to compete at an under-15 tournament in Barcelona.

In August, he was selected for the under-16 national squad which travelled to Macedonia for the European Championships.  Scotland finished 18th out of 22 teams.  It was the first time an under-16s side from Scotland had competed at the prestigious FIBA Euro Tournament.

“All of us here at Capital are proud to be associated with Kyle, as well as the wider Scottish game, and wish him all the best for the rest of the season.”

Kyle Jimenez said: “I’d like to thank Capital Document Solutions for their support.  It is thanks to the generosity of Capital and other businesses that I have been given the opportunity to achieve my sporting goals.

“Representing Scotland at the European Championships was a fantastic experience and the highlight of my sporting career so far.  Looking further ahead, I’m keen to represent Scotland at full international level and maybe even turn professional.”
