Office equipment specialist Capital Document Solutions is backing a leading Borders fundraising organisation.

The business, which has key operations in Edinburgh and Glasgow, serving the Borders area, is hoping to raise a substantial sum for the Borders Change Foundation.

The organisation, which supports worthy causes in the region, hosts its annual charity dinner on Friday, September 5 at the Carfraemill Hotel, near Lauder.

Proceeds raised from this year’s event will benefit Columba 1400 – an award-winning social enterprise which offers programmes designed to help young people from disadvantaged backgrounds transform their lives. All funds raised will enable Columba 1400 to develop their vital work with young people across the Borders.

John Campbell, area sales director at Capital, lives in Blainslie, near Lauder, and previously worked from the company’s former Galashiels office. He said: “We are a long-standing supporter of the Borders Change Foundation and are delighted to be involved again in this year’s event.

“The night itself is always extremely well-attended and I’m sure this year will be another success. Hopefully our support will go some way towards helping Columba 1400 continue its good work helping people turn their lives around.”

James Marjoribanks, chairman at Borders Change Foundation, said: “We’re delighted that Capital Document Solutions has once more agreed to support our annual dinner. They have been great supporters for many years and without their generosity we would not have been able to raise the amounts we have. It promises to be another fantastic night and I’d encourage anyone interested in attending to book now.”

Marie Clare Drummond, head of development at Columba 1400, said: “A massive thanks has to go to the Borders Change Foundation for nominating us as their charity of choice for this year’s event. We are delighted that as a result we will be able to further develop our work with young people from tough realities in the Borders.”

Tickets, priced at £590for a table of 10 people, are available. To attend, please contact James Marjoribanks at jym@hoggandthorburn.co.uk or call 01896 753233.

The Charity Dinners started  in 1996 and over the years has raised just short of £350,000 for good causes throughout the Borders. Each year the organisation selects a charity to benefit from its annual dinner.

This year’s beneficiary, Columba 1400, works with disadvantaged and vulnerable young people to help them realise that they already possess ‘the inner greatness and confidence’ to transform their own lives as well as the lives of those around them. For more information visit www.columba1400.com
