On Friday 30th September, Capital Document Solutions held a Great Capital Bake Off to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Staff from all of the branches took part in creating their very own bake off. And all of our staff were keen to sample the various cakes on offer for a donation to Macmillan.
Macmillan Cancer
The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning has been Macmillan’s biggest fundraising event for people facing cancer.
Since 1990 over £138 million has been raised for Macmillan. The charity has been supported by people all over the UK hosting their own Coffee Mornings.
Glasgow manager, Evalyn Foley, printed and created masks of the Great British Bake Off stars for ultimate judging power of their sweet and savoury treats: “Since part of the Macmillan Coffee Morning pack included a prize for the Best Baker and you get a badge. So we decided to go all out and have a judging panel. Who better to judge than the Bake Off Team!”
The company wide Capital Bake Off was co-ordinated by administrator Kerry Tarr: “I’m proud to say that we raised an impressive £556.53 for Macmillan Cancer across the company this year. It’s a big jump from the £300 we raised last year, thanks to all our staff for their generous donations and baking efforts“
Various members of staff have previously taken part in their own fundraising for Macmillan Cancer. Last year Richard Thompson abseiled from the Forth Rail Bridge.
