Friday 14th December saw Capital staff join the UK children’s fundraising Christmas Jumper Day. This is in aid of Cash for Kids: Mission Christmas with Bauer Radio.
Buckles and bows in aid of Cash for Kids
Mission Christmas works tirelessly to make Christmas special for disadvantaged children across the UK. Those who live in poverty or are sick or disabled. All money raised on behalf of Cash for Kids stays local. The campaign provides a helping hand when and also where it is needed the most.
Therefore, we’re proud to host a Christmas Jumper Day and help raise funds for this wonderful local cause.
The Edinburgh and Aberdeen branches have been registered as drop-off points for people to donate a spare present for disadvantaged children and teenagers. We thank everyone for their generous donations! Additionally, if you would also like to give £5 to Mission Christmas, text MISSION to 70808.
Our Christmas Jumper Day
Meter Billing Administrator, Lori Desborough who helped organise our Christmas Jumper Day said:
“Capital loves taking part in fundraising events like Mission Christmas, helping local people in our local communities right across Scotland. Many of us in each of our regional offices listen to stations across the Bauer network. So it’s great to participate in Christmas fun while helping local children who might otherwise go without.”
Our Glasgow branch went local this year, and supported the Glasgow Care Foundation, donating toys to help some nearby children this season.
