Capital Document Solutions is delighted to be sponsoring Scottish Chamber Orchestra (SCO) Philip Higham plays CPE Bach.
The performance took place at St Andrews Younger Hall last night, in Edinburgh Queen’s Hall tonight and in Glasgow City Halls tomorrow – that’s the 18th, 19th and 20th of April, respectively.
The event has so far been a resounding success, with attendees being blown away by the beauty of the music.
Cellist Philip Higham
Edinburgh born Philip Higham became the first UK cellist to win 1st Prize in the Bach Leipzig competition, and followed it with major prizes in 2009 Lutoslawski Competitions, and the 2010 Grand Prix Emmanuel Feuermann in Berlin.
Conductor Richard Egarr
Richard Egarr brings a joyful sense of adventure and a keen, enquiring mind to all his music-making. Music Director of the Academy of Ancient Music since 2006, Egarr is also Associate Artist of the Scottish Chamber Orchestra.
The Scottish Chamber Orchestra
The internationally celebrated Scottish Chamber Orchestra is made up of a unique collection of talented musicians who inspire and connect with people of all ages.
In recent years, the Orchestra has travelled throughout Europe, the Far East, India and also the USA.
The SCO makes a significant contribution to Scottish life both on the concert platform and beyond. They work in schools, universities, hospitals, care homes, places of work and community centres through the SCO Connect creative learning programme.
The Orchestra’s long-standing relationship with Conductor Laureate, the late Sir Charles Mackerras, resulted in many exceptional performances and recordings, including two multi award-winning albums of Mozart Symphonies (Linn).
