Capital’s environment commitment

Capital Document Solutions Limited, the largest independent Office Equipment and Document Solutions provider in Scotland has committed to achieving net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2030 – 15 years earlier than the Scottish Government’s target of 2045.

The Company has been leading the way in its commitment to minimising its impact on the environment – having had the BS ISO 14001 accreditation since 2005.    We have our own dedicated Recycling Centre, which was commended by Zero Waste Scotland as a good practical example of Circular Economy in action.

It has now partnered with the Net Zero Group and adopted an enhanced sustainability policy, underpinned by a ‘route map’ focused on reducing its Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions:

  • Scope 1 (direct emissions from owned or controlled sources)
  • Scope 2 (in-direct emissions from the generation of purchased energy)
  • Scope 3 (all in-direct emissions from the value chain)

The Company will be integrating sustainability considerations into all of its business decisions and will report its greenhouse gas emissions and progress against its net zero target annually.

Andrew Aikman, the Company’s Managing Director said:

“Having already made significant inroads in our journey to net zero, we are totally committed to further reducing our carbon footprint and by working with our colleagues, clients and suppliers,  to being the most sustainable business we possibly can be”.
