Digitising the office

 

Paperless office, cloud, digital workflow and electronic document management.  These terms all have one common theme – increasing workplace efficiency.  This can be achieved by digitising the office.

The ambitious goal of many organisations is to operate a paperless office, or at least, an office that uses less paper.  One way to accomplish this is to digitise your workflows using document management software and storing documents in the cloud.  By using a digital workflow solution, you eliminate the need for producing multiple copies of the same document.  This is more efficient and also allows more security for your documents.

HP developed an MFP (multi-functional printer) that tackles these issues.  The HP LaserJet Enterprise MFP M series have the ability to scan hard-copy documents into a digital workflow.  Therefore, documents can be accessed and shared instantly over a secure network.

Streamlined workflows and advanced scanning features including built in Optical Content Recognition (OCR) simplify time-consuming business activities. OCR reads documents; including pdfs and files them accordingly on the cloud for easy retrieval.

The “flow” models also offer a large, pull-out keyboard which is an attractive feature coupled with the 8” touchscreen.  All models include image preview to edit, insert, and delete scanned pages on-screen.

New cloud-ready HP LaserJet Enterprise MFPs offer advanced document management and enterprise-level security.

You can apply a security policy to your fleet and monitor device compliance.  Also, the device can be configured to require a PIN when retrieving print jobs, or other optional authentication solutions.

In addition, these HP devices can also be configured with HP solutions such as ePrint, HP Web Jetadmin and Quick Sets.

  • ePrint enables users to print from a mobile device to the MFP while away from the office, empowering mobile workers.
  • Web Jetadmin is a software solution to help manage your fleet of HP devices.
  • Quick Sets give users send-to options directly on the touchscreen control panel and allow users to preview, edit and zoom images.

In conclusion, the new HP LaserJet printers and content management solutions redefine printing by enabling customers to reduce costs, increase efficiency and digitise their office.
