Capital Document Solutions, Scotland’s leading independent office solutions business, has increased the size of its headquarters to cope with the huge demand for its services.

The company committed an investment of over £400,000 in its Edinburgh base for an expansion of 5,500 sq ft to its operations. The total size of its McDonald Road premises is now 42,000 sq ft.

Expansion details

The expansion created additional space for growing staff numbers, expanded warehouse facilities and a new training centre.

The company, which employs more than 220 people, also has offices in Glasgow, Dundee, Aberdeen, Inverness and Shetland.

The business recently secured contracts with a number of large public and private sector organisations including universities, colleges, schools and global oil and gas companies.

Capital has recruited an additional 10 staff at its Edinburgh site to bring the total number of staff in the city to 134.

Tom Flockhart, managing director of Capital Document Solutions, said: “We have experienced significant growth in recent years and a result of this is an increase in demand on our Edinburgh staff and facilities. This significant investment allows us to continue to meet the expanding demands of our clients.

“Our new, enhanced facility in the city will greatly improve our capability to roll out solutions for clients in a timely and cost-effective manner.”
