Kiltwalk for Children 1st

Kiltwalk for Children 1st
Reading Time: 2 minutes

On Sunday 11th of May eight members of our staff (named below) have decided to pop on their tartan at the Edinburgh Kiltwalk  to raise money for one of our customers, Children 1st.  They will be joining around 3,000 other walkers to complete the 13 mile course.  In preparation for the main walk they took part in a dummy run of the course and we have to say they think they have a chance in completing the full route (including Kenny)!

The Kiltwalk was founded as a new Scottish charity in October 2011 that organises sponsored walking events to raise money to support Scottish children’s, following on from the success of the “TACC Kiltwalk” in 2010 and 2011.  Three of Scotland’s leading children’s charities enthusiastically agreed to join TACC as the main joint beneficiaries: CHAS, Aberlour Child Care Trust and CLIC Sargent. September 2012 saw the start of an exclusive new partnership with the Sunday Post, with their campaign to help them raise £1m for Oor Kids. Since the start-up of the Kiltwalk two further charity partners have also joined Sick Kids Friends Foundation and Yorkhill Children’s Foundation.
