Capital Document Solutions, Scotland’s leading independent office equipment and document solutions business, has further demonstrated its growth plans by opening a new office in Dundee.
The Exchange Street office will service both the public and commercial sector in the city and the surrounding areas of Angus, Tayside and north Fife.
Capital recently announced a rise in year-on-year turnover from £13.1m to £14.5m and remains on track to increase turnover by 20% in 2012. The business has operations in Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Shetland.
In addition to its sales and service staff already covering this area, two further jobs have been created in Dundee, and this will be increased to four by the end of the year.
Tom Flockhart, Managing Director of Capital Document Solutions, said:
“Dundee was a natural choice to set up a new office due to the fact we have a large number of clients already in the area and four of our engineers are already based in Dundee. We will be looking to grow the business significantly through an unwavering commitment to standards – sound professional advice, market leading hardware and software products and outstanding after sales service and support.”
Capital Document Solutions Area Sales Director John Campbell, who was brought up in Tealing and went to school in Forfar, said:
“We believe there is great potential for the Dundee office, particularly for our approach to provide a complete document solution – improving clients’ document processes and helping reduce costs. We want to play our part in the success of local businesses by delivering a thoroughly professional and efficient service.”
Peter Benison, of Dundee, has been appointed as an additional sales executive for the new office. The company has over 160 staff in total supporting businesses and organisations throughout Scotland.
Capital Document Solutions provides a range of office document and print solutions including copiers, printers, scanners and software with comprehensive maintenance and training support.
Capital specialises in advising companies and organisations on how to rationalise its diverse fleet of copiers, printers, scanners and faxes as well as control and reduce copy/print volumes through significant improvements in document processes.
Through these processes, clients can significantly reduce operating costs. In most cases, clients who implement the new improved document solution, achieve savings in excess of 30%.
In June 2009, Capital was appointed approved suppliers to the National Scottish Procurement Framework for Office Equipment – the only independent Scottish supplier out of the 7 selected. It has since secured the largest share of contracts awarded to date within this sector and has been rated highest by Scottish Procurement on quality of contract management and service provision amongst all of the suppliers. The business was recently praised by Infrastructure and Capital Investment Secretary Alex Neil MSP as an example of a Scottish business seizing the opportunities presented by reshaped procurement policy.
