Due to the growing demand for our products and services, we completed a major refurbishment of our Inverness office and warehouse at Harbour Road.
Capital was delighted to re-commission Creation Editor to produce a new virtual tour of our Inverness office, Highland Office Equipment. HOE (founded by Bill Main and Roy McLennan over 40 years ago) was acquired by Capital in 2013. This created Scotland’s largest independent provider of office equipment and document solutions.
Inverness Office – refreshed, redecorated, refurbished
The expansion was necessary to support major contract wins in the private, public and voluntary sectors, and our ever expanding Highlands and Islands customer base.
Local suppliers were used to enhance the Inverness facilities. A brighter, more modern space offers an efficient working environment for our increasing staff levels and allows us to serve our customers even better.

Serving the Highlands and Islands
HOE has recruited new sales account executives and field engineers bringing the headcount up to 32 members of staff in Inverness. We continually supply the best products with sound advice, and the very best after-sales care. Fully qualified engineers strategically placed throughout the Highlands & Islands reach customers whenever and wherever they’re needed. This level of service has put HOE on the map as the largest suppliers of office equipment in the north of Scotland. Capital’s total investment to date in Highland Office Equipment is now more than £200,000 demonstrating our commitment to growing our business.
National Framework Agreement
Capital has the infrastructure, service and support in place across the whole of Scotland and as a result was re-appointed in 2013 as a supplier on the Scottish Government’s National Framework Agreement for office equipment. HOE calls on the group’s experience and resources to fully engage with the Highlands public and voluntary sectors.
