There’s only a week to go until Capital Document Solutions finds out if it has won a prestigious national award for the quality of its services.
The office equipment specialist is a finalist in the Best Service Award at the Government Opportunities (GO) Awards Scotland, with the winner being announced at a gala ceremony next Tuesday.
Tom Flockhart, the company’s founder and managing director, said “To say we’re delighted is an understatement. Just to be shortlisted is a tremendous endorsement of all the hard work by everyone in Capital.”
Earlier this year, the company was hailed by a Scottish Government minister as a textbook example of a business seizing the opportunities presented by re-shaped procurement policy.
The then Infrastructure and Capital Investment Secretary Alex Neil MSP visited the Edinburgh HQ of the business, which has branches in Aberdeen, Dundee, Shetland and Glasgow, to hear first-hand how it has worked to win the largest share of contracts tendered within the framework, and praised the business for its “high-quality bids.”
Established in 1979, Capital provides a range of office equipment and document solutions, including photocopiers, printers, scanners and software, with comprehensive national maintenance and training support.
It currently has 170 staff supporting the public and private sector throughout Scotland.
