Another item can be checked off the bucket list for Peter Major, one of our Sales Executives in Aberdeen. On the 25th of May 2013, Peter and also 5 others from BNI Aberdeen Alpha took a big leap – they went skydiving to raise money for Befriend A Child.
You can watch Peter and his fall to earth in this video.
The group wanted to find an activity the BNI could partake in to raise money for a very worthwhile cause. The team of 5 jumped from a plane at 10,000 feet and met their fundraising goal of £4 000.
The charity is “Aberdeen’s own and Scotland’s oldest, befriending service for deprived and vulnerable children. We are founded in Aberdeen and operate for the children of Aberdeen City & Shire. On our website you can find out everything about Befriend A Child. What we do, what you can do to help and how to get in touch. So please browse and learn more about how Befriend A Child are helping to Turn a Frown Upside Down!”
Finally, would Peter skydive again?
“I’d seriously consider going back to do a static line jump from about 4 000 feet, also if my missus will allow it!“
