Once again Capital was delighted to work with Sabine Klaus-Carter, creative director of Creation Editor.  She has produced a virtual tour of our Inverness Office, Highland Office Equipment.  This company was founded by Bill Main and Roy McLennan almost 40 years ago and acquired by Capital Document Solutions in February 2013.  This merger has created Scotland’s largest independent provider of office equipment and document solutions.

In November 1998 HOE relocated to purpose-built premises at Technology House on Harbour Road.  To meet the demands of the business, Technology House has become not only a modern showroom with ample customer parking, but also the home to our offices and warehousing.   In the video below you can have a virtual tour of our Inverness Office.  Alexander Main, Sales Director at HOE will introduce you to the premises and guide you around the call centre, warehouses and offices.

At Highland Office Equipment, their local in-house call centre staff deal with requests quickly and efficiently and their customers are well served by local staff with supplies of equipment, spares and consumables.  Stock control, delivery and installation teams are always on hand providing daily national and local support.

Serving the Highlands and Islands


The Highlands and Islands cover an area the size of Belgium and so the logistical challenges facing businesses in this area are huge.  Despite this, HOE continually supplies the best products with sound advice, and provides the very best after-sales care.  HOE has its own fully qualified engineers strategically placed throughout the Highlands & Islands to reach customers whenever and wherever they are needed.   This level of service has put HOE on the map as one of the largest suppliers of office equipment in the north of Scotland.


National Framework Agreement


Capital Document Solutions has the infrastructure, service and support in place across the whole of Scotland and as a result was re-appointed in June 2013 as a supplier on the Scottish Government’s National Framework Agreement for office Equipment.  HOE can now call on the group’s experience and resources to fully engage with the local public and voluntary sectors in the Highlands.
