Our Quality Accreditations, Corporate Awards & Partnerships

These are some of the awards and accreditations we have earned recently; including the prestigious GO Award for Best Service in the public sector. We are proud to have achieved a large number of accreditations and awards from suppliers and also industry bodies. Also included in this accreditations list are the industry bodies that we are registered with.

The Government Opportunities (GO) Awards Scotland aim to recognise innovation, excellence and achievement within Scottish public procurement, and the benefits to the wider business and social community that smart, effective and sustainable purchasing can deliver. We are past winners of the GO “Best Service” Award. This also serves to highlight our total commitment to support clients through a service that greatly improves their document processes. IASME Governance

The IASME Governance standard was developed over several years during a government funded project to create a cyber security standard. The assessment covers a Cyber Essentials assessment and General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) requirements. Capital has been successful in our assessment for the IASME standard against the GDPR. Therefore, we can demonstrate that we take the protection of personal and valuable data seriously.

Cyber Essentials

Cyber Essentials aims to help organisations implement basic levels of protection against cyber attack, demonstrating to customers that we take cyber security seriously.  The accreditation is an independently verified self assessment. Organisations assess themselves against five basic security controls. Also a qualified assessor verifies the information provided. Our current certificate for Cyber Essentials is available upon request.

ISO Information Security Management System 

Capital has been certified by NQA to ISO/IEC 27001.

The scope relates to the Information Security System for the IT department including the provision and management of IT infrastructure and also data processing of information within Capital Document Solutions, based at our Edinburgh head office. In accordance with SOA issue 3.0.

ISO Quality Management System

Capital holds the NQA Certificate of Registration for ISO 9001 – Quality Management System.

This covers the installation, repair and maintenance of office equipment and the design of internal and external training modules.  For more details please also ask about our Quality Policy.

ISO 14001 Environmental Management

ISO 14001 is an internationally accepted standard.

It sets out a framework of essential elements for putting an effective Environmental Management System in place. Capital has successfully received ISO14001 certification for each of our branches.

Capital have been awarded the Winners’ Circle from Laserfiche. Laserfiche is the world’s leading supplier of enterprise content management solutions. Capital have a dedicated Laserfiche support team and we’re the leading provider of sales, training and also support for Laserfiche in Scotland.

Energy Star Partner

Energy Star is a specific award for energy-saving devices. For example, devices that fulfil the Energy Star requirements are at least 30% more efficient than conventional equipment. In particular, they power down when not in use to save electricity. All our hardware suppliers strive to provide products that are Energy Star compliant.

FPAL

Capital is fully registered with First Point Assessment (FPAL). FPAL is the oil and gas supply chain database for the UK and also The Netherlands. It is a division of Achilles Information Limited. FPAL is the key tool used by energy purchasers to identify and select current and also potential suppliers when awarding contracts or purchase orders. Lastly, Capital is the only document solutions company in Scotland to have an advanced registration with FPAL.

Scottish Federation of Housing Associations
