Rennie Welch and its predecessor firms have practiced as accountants and business advisors in the South of Scotland since the 1920s. The firm, throughout its history, has aimed to serve the accounting, auditing and taxation needs of all aspects of the business community predominantly in the Borders and beyond. By virtue of its location the firm has always had a major specialism in agricultural accounting and taxation matters.
Rennie Welch have been customers of Capital for forty years and for the last twenty-five years the account has been managed by John Campbell our current Commercial Sales Director.

We now have a rolling replacement programme over the various offices.”
Over the years we have made detailed assessments which include an analysis of software functionality, hardware specifications and historic performance. The assessments include a review of printing volumes across Rennie Welch’s sites to identify potential areas of under or over utilisation.
A new scanning function was set up and a move to a Cloud solution was implemented – this removed analogue processes and improved workflow processes and communication. The routing of digital documents via scanning and Cloud has eliminated legacy systems and the process is now much more efficient. The new scanning solution has been implemented across the whole estate, while causing minimal disruption to the end user.
Our ongoing managed print service for Rennie Welch has enabled them to reduce printing costs, improve efficiency, and enhance security by implementing standardised policies and procedures for printing, scanning, and document management.

Capital provides Rennie Welch with remote monitoring on all of their recent devices. This pro-active management was available as soon as the devices were installed. Our Customer Support team monitor all devices live on a real-time basis, resolving potential faults before they occur.
When issues can’t be resolved remotely our team in the field, including Ivan, are on site as quickly as possible. Our unmatched support infrastructure and Scotland’s largest network of engineers, covering the Borders to Shetland, ensure that Rennie Welch and our other customers are back up and running quickly.

Capital only supplies genuine manufacturer consumables and parts, ensuring the devices under management perform to their best ability. We carry out quarterly reviews to assess performance, machine usage and general reporting. On an ongoing basis, our real-time monitoring systems pick up on toner alerts, drum requests and error codes. Proactive management of consumables helps to reduce the burden on internal IT resources.
Support and training from Capital’s team of Production Print Specialists is available for the customer as and when they need it.
