Print contract with Fettes College

A recent new deal has seen Capital Document Solutions agree a five year contract with Fettes College in Edinburgh, further strengthening our position in the independent schools market.

Under the deal Capital are providing a wide range of document solutions, including copiers, printers, scanners and print management software with comprehensive maintenance and training support.

Fettes College’s 740 pupils and staff will all benefit from the greatly enhanced hardware, software and service support. Additionally, they will have the ability to produce prints from any multi-functional device or printer throughout the campus, directly from a PC or mobile devices such as iPads and iPhones.

Tom Flockhart, Founder and Managing Director of Capital Document Solutions, said: “We have secured many contracts with universities, colleges and schools throughout Scotland and are confident of further growth in this sector due to our proven print solutions expertise and in-house resources.”

Mark Harvie, Area Sales Director at Capital Document Solutions, said: “We look forward to building a successful partnership with Fettes College. All pupils and staff will benefit from greater workflow efficiency along with improved reporting and print security measures. Through rationalisation of its existing device fleet, the college will also see significant reductions in waste; reducing its environmental impact along with the resultant cost savings.”

David Ballam, Network Manager at Fettes College, said: We are delighted to announce this deal with Capital Document Solutions and look forward to working closely with them over the term of this contract. Capital has implemented a quality solution which will bring significant benefits to all our pupils and staff.”

Fettes College enjoys a reputation as one of the UK’s leading independent schools educating children from ages 7-18.

Fettes is renowned for excellent academic results at GCSE, A Level and IB, superb pastoral care, a wide range of extra-curricular activities and state of the art facilities.

Capital has carved out a niche for the provision of its print management services in the Scottish independent schools sector.

Capital has existing agreements with a number of clients in the education sector, including Erskine’s Stewart’s Melville Schools, George Watson’s College, The High School of Glasgow, and Cumbernauld College.

This latest project is a further boost to Capital following a series of public and private sector contract wins for the company. The company increased year-on-year turnover from £14.5m to £16.5m for its 2012 year end in December.

Additionally, the office equipment specialist recently announced the acquisition of Inverness-based business, Highland Office Equipment, increasing its total number of staff to 200. Capital’s turnover is now in excess of £20m and the acquisition puts the expanded company in a strong position to achieve its £30m turnover objective by the end of 2015.

In October 2012, the business won the Best Service honour at the Government Opportunities (GO) Awards Scotland for the high level and quality of its services to end users in the Scottish public sector.
