About Leith Rugby Club
The rugby club was established in 1905, with the team initially playing at Quarryholes in Edinburgh. Jump forward 113 years, and the club are still going strong, now at their home within Leith Academy playing fields.
In 2015 the team were granted charitable status for their Youth Rugby programme, the Leith Hawks. Since then, they’ve gone from strength to strength in delivering rugby to the young people of Leith. The terrific work being completed at a young level now and in the future will see the club thrive over the years to come!
Tom Flockhart, Managing Director & Founder of Capital said:
“We make a concerted effort to be part of our local communities. We’re delighted to be able to support a long standing local rugby team through our Edinburgh office and wish them all the very best for the season ahead.”
Kenny Dannfald, Fundraising Officer for Leith RFC remarked:
“Leith Rugby would like to say a massive thanks to Callum Brown [our Logistics & Production Manager] and the team at Capital for sponsoring the club. It is fantastic to see a national company, which is based in the area, support a local community club. Sponsorship is vital to a club like ourselves in order to develop, whether it is at 1st XV, 2nd XV, social, youth or ladies’ rugby.
“Many thanks once again and we look forward to seeing the Capital team at Academy Park!”
