With over 200 staff working for Capital Document Solutions throughout Scotland, we take pride in our employees and their achievements. Second to none are our Service Engineers.
Continual advances in technology mean we have to ensure that our staff are fully trained on all of our equipment. We do whatever it takes to prevent any downtime of your devices.
Service Engineers of the Year Awards
To ensure that this commitment to training and the quality of our services are maintained, all of our Field Engineers are measured for their contribution and their overall performance, which includes a successful first day fix.
Recently, we have also asked our engineers to take part in a half day test. This comprises of a technical paper, and a general knowledge paper. Their car stock, tool bags, and the condition of their vehicles are also checked. This assessment contributes towards the Service Engineers of the Year nominations.
We are delighted to announce that this year’s “Service Engineer of the Year” award was presented to Duncan Graham from Highland Office Equipment in Inverness.
Duncan has been with HOE for eight years and said:
“HOE is an excellent company to work for. Everyone’s commitments combine to a great team effort – I am so happy to have won this achievement!“
The runners-up for this year’s competition were Scott Little and Ross Pittman from our Edinburgh office, and also Phil Pirie from our Aberdeen office.
Brian Tait Award
Capital also offer the Brian Tait award. This award was set up in the memory of Brian Tait who was our Service Manager at our old Galashiels office.
This year, John Murray and Gordon Brown from Capital’s Edinburgh branch were the joint winners of the 2017 award.

The Brian Tait Award winners receive their plaques
We would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Duncan, John, Gordon, and also the runners-up for all of their hard work throughout the year.
