Special Interest

What do we mean by ‘special interest’?

Special Interest is a catch-all term to include many of the charity and also sponsorship news items we share online.

It could include special events we might host at our offices or special news about Capital.

Examples include staff or friends of Capital taking a leap of faith and completing sponsored skydives for charity.

Every year Capital proudly sponsors certain events like The Royal Scottish National Orchestra (RSNO) concerts like fiddle legend Aly Bain and accordion player Phil Cunningham and their St Andrews Parties.

Another example is our support for the Edinburgh International Festival every year.

Why do we sponsor these events?

It’s a reflection of Our Values and Corporate Responsibility.

We’re passionate about our people, integrity, society, the environment and also our Corporate Responsibility.

We actively engage in activities that contribute to society and the development of Scottish culture. We support various arts and charitable organisations including: Multiple Sclerosis SocietyLeuchie HouseBorders Change Foundation,  The Vine Trust,  Scottish Chamber OrchestraScottish OperaAberdeen International Youth FestivalThe Princes Trust and also The Scottish Business Achievement Awards Trust (SBAAT).
